Easter is April 20th
This year Easter is a couple weeks later than last year. Hopefully it will give the Memphis area plenty of time for spring to finally arrive! Just like last year I wanted to provide you with some links to the local events going on in our corner of the world for the 2014 Easter Holiday.
Easter Themed Mini Session Photo’s
At this point in time an Easter Themed Photo session is not on my calendar. If you follow me on Facebook or subscribe to my Newsletter you know I am struggling with some health issues. If you want to catch up on that click HERE. I have several amazing photographer friends in the area and have contacted them to notify me if they add a spring or Easter mini to their schedules. I will post it here and on Facebook as soon as I receive their info. If you are looking to capture a few images in the daffodils head to the Memphis Botanic gardens. You may have another week left to capture the blooms. I vaguely remember The Oaklawn Gardens in Germantown having daffodils but am not 100% sure.
Easter Egg Hunts in the Memphis Area

Many places offer a fabulous Easter Brunch. Make your reservations early! My faves are The Majestic Grille , Owen Brennan’s, and the The Peabody Hotel are just a few. Find a restaurant in your town or make this simple breakfast casserole the night before and just pop it into the oven. Recipe from my amazing friend Mandy!
Breakfast Casserole 8-10 eggs, 1 cup whole milk, 1 cup half and half, 1-2 cups grated cheese – cheddar and Colby, 1 lb. hot or mild sausage (cooked and drained), 8 slices white bread w/ crust cubed , 1-2 tsp dry mustard, 3-4 TBSP worstershire, salt and pepper to taste.
Grease 9×13. Crumble bread cubes evenly on bottom. Sprinkle sausage and cheese over bread. Douce w/ worstershire. Beat eggs, milk, half and half, mustard, salt and pepper very well and pour over top of bread/sausage. Cover and refrige overnight. Next morning bake at 350 for about 45 minutes.
Easter Crafts and Inspiration
Check out my Pinterest Board to find out what is inspiring me as we head into the Easter and Spring Season! One of the things I have pinned are some Easter themed lunch box jokes from Kristen Duke Photography. I pack my kids a lunch everyday. My son feels to old for his mom to leave him love notes but he doesn’t mind a joke he can share with his friends!
